How to Publish Paper Pronto for Residency Match

Welcome the highlight of our show today “PoP!” (“Publish or Perish”)

Cheeky and funny, PoP saved my life as I was sieving through database for systematic review.
If you ever conduct such studies, remember PoP!
It is super user-friendly, and allows you to search various database and export them to Excel to remove duplicates, in a switch!

If you are trying to meet these numbers, maybe you might want to try doing systematic review/meta-analysis

The other day I read about Coral reefs on PubMed. It could be any topic of your interest, as long as you look hard for it, you can find it. Creativity is KEY!

Bench research requires you to be in a well-resourced lab whereas human/clinical research requires recruiting participants. Both requires physical resources, money which are not common currencies.
So if odds are against you how do you spin your story and satisfy your own intellectual curiosity?
Dive in into PubMed, and give systematic review a try!

As evident by COVID-19, lab research got suspended (your rats/cells will lived past the prime time to harvest result, or they will die when you are teleworking) and you can’t get human participants to continue your clinical studies. But, in this period, systematic review is business as usual; systematic review on COVID-19 will not only help us all in overcoming this pandemic, but also give you a head start.

Ok I hope these help, stay hopeful and safe!
